Oh Carrie..I too felt compelled to check his site this morning and was SHOCKED when I read that he had passed away. I had followed his blog for quite some time and just expected that he would beat this. It's just nit right.
I'm so sorry to hear about Max. He seemed to be such a sweet, strong, and special soul. An inspiration for so many. My prayers will be with his family and all those that have been touched by him and his story. Love You~
